Who I am.
I am a sole practitioner licensed in California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah and Idaho with over 25 years of real estate finance law experience. Most of my career was spent as in house counsel to various real estate companies, advising the executive team and owners of those companies. As a result, I offer my clients a hands-on, business approach to my clients, advising them how the law fits in to the way they do business rather than how the law hinders their ability to do business.
My Clients include:
- Commercial Real Estate Lenders - Preparing Loan Documents (I have done over 1,500 sets of loan documents), Corporate entity formation, as well as licensing work
- Commercial Real Estate Owners and Developers - Whether it be construction, leasing, financing, or all of the above (they often happen all at the same time), I provide a cost effective, often fixed fee, evaluation and negotiation.
I also am available to do opinion letters as Borrower counsel for properties in California, Oregon and the other states in which I am licensed, typically on a fixed fee basis.
I grew up in San Diego and spent 11 years in Portland, Oregon. I received my B.A. from Williams College and my J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
Feel free to call me directly or use the contact form at the bottom of this page. If I am not the best person to help you, I promise to do my best to find that person.
